Architectural lighting channels an innovative spirit at Fervo Energy’s Houston headquarters.

Energy flows through every corner of Fervo Energy’s vibrant Houston headquarters. Designed by architecture and design firm Inventure, this captivating workplace finds unique ways to embody the company’s entrepreneurial spirit and vision for geothermal energy. Working alongside the design team, Lumenwerx helped put together a lighting strategy to complement the office’s dynamic architectural language.

Starting at reception, Curvia XYZ luminaires brilliantly connect function and form. Inlaid into the wall, a glowing linear fixture travels upward before continuing across the ceiling in an eye-catching undulating pattern. The flowing composition evokes waves of energy while providing ambient illumination for guests entering the space.

In meeting areas, Curvia rectangle recessed fixtures offer another expression. Again, inlaid into the ceiling, here the fixtures’ curved corners complement adjacent architectural ceiling details while adding geometric interest overhead. In boardrooms, Petite Downlight provide focused illumination, while slim-profiled Slight pendants introduce another linear layer of ambient light. The lighting strategy extends from workspaces to a kitchen and café area, where Pivot surface luminaires provide focused downlighting for lunch prep, dining, and informal gatherings. Where added brightness is needed, Pivot HLO modules provide the flexibility needed to accommodate various activities within the shared space.

Throughout Fervo’s brilliant HQ, each luminaire in the strategy contributes to a workplace built around innovation and forward momentum. Together, the luminaires complement the architectural vision while helping tell the company’s story of bringing new energy to the future.
