Our Greenwerx Initiative

At Lumenwerx, sustainability is at the very foundation of our Greenwerx Initiative, ensuring we prioritize eco-friendly practices throughout our operations, from product design to manufacturing.

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by utilizing energy-efficient materials, minimizing waste, leading upcycling projects, and using 100% renewable energy sources.

We are also a corporate member of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) and is part of the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) Incubator of the Green Light Alliance. These organizations are devoted to establishing deep green sustainability in the construction and lighting industry, which perfectly resonates with our company’s core values and objectives.

High Standards We Are Committed To

Living Building Challenge 4.0

LBC 4.0 requires that special parts be Red List Free (containing no red-listed chemicals) or meet Red List Approved requirements (products containing red-listed materials for which temporary exceptions have been approved). Potentially problematic components in Lumenwerx products, such as wire, lenses, and gaskets, are replaced to support compliance.

Over 80% of Lumenwerx products are Red List Free, while another 15% are Red List Approved, both accepted under LBC 4.0. Declare label information for each product, including transparency disclosures and chemical breakdowns, are available upon request.

 

WELL Standard V2

Lumenwerx can help designers and architects meet the requirements listed in WELL Standard V2, which addresses the impact of interior lighting on human wellness. Features covered include circadian lighting, glare control, and electric light quality. These solutions are dependent upon the lighting design and products selected.

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design

The LEED® program, created by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), rates sustainable, energy-efficient buildings based on four levels of certification: Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Canadian LEED projects are managed and certified by the Canadian Green Building Council (CAGBC). Energy-efficient LED products from Lumenwerx can contribute to achieving certification credits and help improve a project’s LEED score.
