The Lighting Practice turns its Philadelphia headquarters into a living showcase.
When most companies redesign an office, lighting is just one component of the overall plan. For a lighting design company like Philadelphia’s The Lighting Practice, office lighting takes on a whole new meaning. Rather than simply illuminate, lighting needs to embody the company’s mission of transforming ordinary spaces into places that are captivating and memorable. To help execute the vision, a suite of Lumenwerx luminaires was selected for its aesthetic appeal and peerless performance.
Upon first entering the space, visitors notice the strong architectural shapes of Rim Shapes rounded rectangle pendants. Naturally complementing the exposed industrial ceilings, these fixtures offer a dramatic presence overhead. Their softly illuminated forms provide ambient illumination while adding clear spatial definition. Interspersed throughout the space, Rim Verso Acoustix pendants add a second layer of lighting above casual meeting areas. These combine focused downlighting with sound-absorbing materials to help soften ambient noise in open spaces.
Elsewhere, above a quiet seating area, Pivot pendants provide targeted illumination for reading or working while maintaining the clean aesthetic of the updated industrial interior. In a meeting room, Pop Recessed Square and Rectangular luminaires are installed in a composition of varying sizes and depths, providing balanced illumination and eye-catching visual texture.
Finally, once you’ve finished looking up at the vibrant groupings of luminaires, you’ll notice our Via Perimeter luminaires integrated into the base of the reception desk, creating a warm, welcoming glow. Together, this creative composition of luminaires turns The Lighting Practice’s HQ into a showcase of light, exactly as intended.
