A cohesive lighting strategy reinforces Feeding America’s mission, brand, and culture.

In a workplace designed around storytelling, lighting becomes part of the narrative. Working with the architects, and branded environment specialists, Spark, Lumenwerx helped develop a lighting strategy to illuminate a variety of workspaces while helping highlight Feeding America’s vibrant brand story and visual identity.

Spread across 50,000 square feet on two floors, the lighting plan needed to address wayfinding and employee comfort, while supporting collaboration. It also needed to shine a light on the environmental graphics, interactive displays, and other branded elements incorporated throughout the space to showcase the organization’s impact.

In circulation areas and hallways, our Pop Recessed round luminaires establish a visual cadence at the ceiling while providing glare-free illumination. This circular expression continues into conference rooms, where Pop Color round luminaires are suspended above meeting tables, their shape complementing other rounded architectural details throughout the space. Above the staff kitchen, Rim Shapes round pendants add another layer of interest while lighting up the lunch area.

In communal areas where people gather to chat, linear Via 1.5 Acoustix pendants offer a contrast to our rounded fixtures. Acoustix luminaires provide ambient illumination coupled with sound-dampening technology to reduce noise. Extending into open office spaces and presentation rooms, Recessed Via 2 luminaires integrate directly into ceiling systems without visual clutter. Together, the strategy elegantly demonstrates how thoughtful illumination can strengthen both architecture and brand.
