Lumenwerx illuminates the energizing Chicago headquarters of an innovative technology manufacturer.
At the modernized Chicago headquarters of Littelfuse, lighting expresses the company’s core idea: Connection in Motion. Developed in collaboration with project architects IA, the lighting strategy unifies the two-storey workplace, enhancing its open plan while defining spaces for staff to connect.
From the moment visitors step off the elevator, they’re greeted by long, linear forms of light. A striking lightning bolt is integrated into the lighting expression, reflecting the company’s energy. Created using Curvia and Curvia XYZ luminaires, these sculptural elements orient guests, connect zones, and encourage movement.
Along adjacent corridors, Aera 3 Cylinder luminaires add a refined ceiling presence and provide comfortable illumination that guides movement from space to space. Pivot track further reinforces these pathways, adding definition and ambient light that fills the hallways. Above a main staircase, a continuous run of Via 3 luminaires provides ample illumination, emphasizing the staircase as a key architectural feature connecting both floors.
Throughout meeting rooms and open hoteling-style workstations, Curvia luminaires appear again within the lighting scheme. Here, they help define space, providing illumination to support collaboration, and complement the natural materials used in the office interior. For an additional layer of elegant illumination in boardrooms, concealed Via Perimeter luminaires are added to the mix. Here, these wash the walls with light that cascades from the wall-to-ceiling junction, adding depth, visual comfort, and spatial definition.
From floor to floor, the result is a dynamic yet inviting workplace where illumination connects departments, guides movement and brings Littelfuse’s innovative spirit to life.
